COMPLETE HITTER · AGES 7–12
The 4 superpowers of a young hitter.
Young players often think getting better means changing one swing move. Real hitting is bigger than that. A player gets better when four superpowers begin to work together.

The four superpowers of a young hitter are a swing that can find the ball, an athletic body, smart eyes and decisions, and a brave, calm brain. Players improve fastest when all four grow together instead of chasing one swing fix.
Train it: 30-Day Complete Hitter →1. A swing that can find the ball
Start athletic. Move toward the pitcher. Let the barrel travel through the ball. At 12U, a repeatable swing matters far more than a perfect-looking swing.
2. An athletic body
Running, jumping, throwing, balancing and changing direction all help a hitter. Play other games. Race. Climb. Move. Athletic kids have more ways to solve a hard pitch.
3. Smart eyes and decisions
Before a hitter swings, they have to see the ball, notice where it is going and decide whether it is a good pitch to hit. A great take is a win too.
4. A brave, calm brain
Baseball and softball are hard. Good hitters strike out, miss and hit weak balls. The superpower is returning to the next pitch ready to compete.
Try this today
Set up four one-minute stations: five jump-and-stick landings, five throws, five tee swings and five “take or swing” tosses. Ask your player which superpower felt strongest today.
Parent reminder: You do not need to coach all four at once. Pick one win, notice it and let the player enjoy the game.
Parent questions
What skills make a good youth hitter?
A repeatable swing, athletic movement, the ability to see the ball and decide, and the confidence to compete on the next pitch. Each one supports the others.
Should we work on all four superpowers at once?
No. Pick one win per session, notice it and let the player enjoy it. Over a week you can touch all four.
How do I know which superpower my child needs most?
