The Bullseye 10
Partner stands with glove at chest. 8U: 20 ft · 10U: 30 ft · 12U: 40 ft. Easy, comfortable effort — this is about accuracy, not arm speed.
Count a throw only if the partner catches it without moving their feet.
⚾ FREE LESSON 1 · THROWING · THE CHALLENGE
Can your player hit a teammate in the chest 10 times in a row? Most can’t — yet. Ten throws, one fix, then the retest.
Partner stands with glove at chest. 8U: 20 ft · 10U: 30 ft · 12U: 40 ft. Easy, comfortable effort — this is about accuracy, not arm speed.
Count a throw only if the partner catches it without moving their feet.
When feet and front side point away from a target, throws tend to leak; a simple step line adds consistency.
Lay down a tape line toward target. Player sets balanced feet, steps along line and throws six light balls to a partner.
Say the cue out loud once — “Step to your person.” — then run The Bullseye 10 again exactly like the first time.
Safe practice: Use easy, comfortable throws with rest between sets. Stop for pain or persistent soreness; do not add high-volume throwing after games or on pitcher rest days.
