Parent questions
What does a home run derby game teach?
Timing. Kids learn to swing when the ball gets to them, not too early and not too late. Early swings get pulled and late swings go the other way, just like real hitting.
Is it free and safe for my child?
Yes. It’s free, it runs in a phone or computer browser, there’s no sign-up and nothing is shared. Scores stay on your device.
Why are there practice rounds?
The first time a player plays, they get 10 practice tries with hints to learn the buttons. After that, 5 warm-ups. Practice never counts toward the score.
How far are the fences?
Kid-size fences: 180 feet down the lines and 200 to center in baseball, and 150 and 170 in softball.
