Parent questions
What is pitch recognition for kids?
It’s learning to see the ball early and tell what kind of pitch is coming. Young hitters who can tell a fast pitch from a slow one swing on time more often and have more fun at the plate.
Is this game safe and free for my child?
Yes. It’s free, it runs in a phone or computer browser, there’s no sign-up and nothing is shared. Scores stay on your device.
How fast are the pitches?
Much slower than real game speed, and slower still at the Rookie level. As players move up to All-Star and Champion, the pitches get quicker.
Does it work for softball?
Yes. Switch to softball for a windmill pitcher at youth softball distance.
